I made these babies myself

All of these creatures are freeform crocheted (unless otherwise noted), there is no pattern and each one is unique!

FALL - 2023

I didn't release any crochet work during the 2023 summer but come fall I'm back with more fleshed out little catchphrases - similar to what you might see on the tag of a beanie baby. In this phase I experimented with making myself use a more cohesive yarn colour scheme as the previous babies were pretty random. I couldn't really stick to it, I hated how predictable the colour changes got.

SPRING - 2023

At this point I became interested in drafting a kind of "lore" for these creatures. These two in particular are "bioyokai". This is also when I started to impliment little tag lines for each one."

WINTER - 2023

I went through a "mysterious red glove" and "full flash" product photo phase during this time.

Sometimes I think it helped to show scale but looking back I wish I'd taken a few without the hands for a cleaner PNG

The Lost Ones

These keychains never really took off. I think they were really held back by the choice to make the colours random and on this scale they just look weird. Plus I couldn't keep them consistently sized. While I thought the plastic chain and clasp would add appeal the size of them clashed with the crochet. It was somehow too big and too small.

Tia's Tiger

I wanted to push myself and make something cool based off a friend's illustration style and translate it into 3d. Go check out more of Tia's work Here!>

Stitch Bitch Modeling Balaclavas

I tried to venture into wearables. I really only work with acrylic yarn and so these were pretty unpleasant to wear. They mostly were traded away. I don't think I'll bother with wearable crochet again in this way.

This stunning model is Stitch Bitch. A Styrofoam head I painted with my old """brand""" colours.

I brought her to one tabling event but she's not terribly durable or easy to set up so she mostly stays home.
